HOSKING the administrator, asks the court to allow him to distribute the assets now all bills are paid. NEWS ITEMS 1902 November 1 Saturday- Mrs. Samuel POWELL of CORNWALL, ENGLAND, left Chicago, Illinois last night for Houghton. She will arrive in Houghton today noon and will go to Painesdale with relatives. She has made the long trip from her foreign land to appear in court against her husband, of Calumet, on a charge of bigamy. The case comes up in a few days in circuit court. A number of the CORNISH men of Calumet, collected funds to send to her for her expenses in traveling to America. Her maiden name was Mary Ann DOCKING. She was wed to Mr. POWELL 1890 January 11 at Dirty Pool, CORNWALL. 1902 November 2 Sunday- A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Henry ANGOVE, of Trimountain, last Tuesday. DEATHS 1902 November 2 Sunday- Fred W. PENNINGER, aged 31 years, died yesterday morning, while he shut down the voltage in the Calumet and Hecla Stamp mill at Lake Linden, and 1000 volts went thru his body. He was reared in the copper country having lived in Lake Linden a number of years. He is survived by a widow and one daughter and three brothers- Harry, owner of the Lake Linden harness store; Peter of Chicago, Illinois and John. Four sisters also survive him- Mrs. CLIFFS of the Franklin mine; Mrs. Charles BOTT, Misses Kate and Tillie, all three of Lake Linden. The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at his home. Burial will be at Maple Hill cemetery, Cemetery. 1902 November 2- Sunday-John ALGIE, who was hurt a few days ago when the partly completed wall of the CARKEET building, in Houghton, crumbled, died yesterday from the injuries. He was a contracting mason. He leaves a widow, Mary and had no children. The remains were shipped to Canada for burial. MARRIAGE 1902 November 2 Sunday- David LaPLANTE married Miss Mildred SHOLTZ, both of Houghton, last night at the Hamcock Baptist parsonage. The bride was supported by her sister, Miss Josie SHOLTZ and the best man was Mr. HANSON. 1902 Nov 2- MARRIAGE LICENSES ISSUED BY HOUGHTON COUNTY CLERK Isakka SEPPAN and Miss Ida KEIKKENEN, of the Atlantic mine David LaPLANT and Mildred SHOLTZ, both of Houghton Gustad MAMML and Jennie Sophia HANAKA, of Houghton NEWS ITEM 1902 November 4 Tuesday-- William MUELLER and family, of West Hancock, left yesterday for Oakley, Michigan, where they will make their future home. Mr. MUELLER will take up farming there. (note: Oakley is in Saginaw Co. – plh) DEATH 1902 November 4 Tuesday- Mrs. Elizabeth EFFINGER, aged 28 years, whose husband, Jacob, managed the Charles BRIGGS store at Hecla, died last Sunday night at her Hecla home. She had lived in the area a number of years. She is survived by her husband, her parents – Mr. and Mrs. Eric RETTEMUND of Florida mine location; three sisters - Misses Mamie; Annie and Henrietta and a brother-- Philip. The funeral will take place Wednesday afternoon, with services at the Laurium German Lutheran church. Burial will be at the Lake View cemetery, Calumet. NEWS ITEMS 1902 November 5 Wednesday- Thomas ODGERS of Hancock is recovering from typhoid fever. 1902 November 5 Wednesday—Mrs. Jessie COLLINS of South Lake Linden, who has been visiting her daughter, Mrs. James COX of the Quincy mine, for the past month, returned to her home Sunday. MARRIAGE 1902 November 6 Thursday- Joseph BOHRER married Miss Bessie SCHMEDLIEN at St. Joseph's church, Hancock yesterday. DEATHS 1902 November 6 Thursday- John Edward OLE, aged 22, a well known resident of Calumet, died at the Calumet home of his sister, Mrs. JOHNSON, of tuberculosis on last night. He had been employed at the furniture store of Sivert OLSON for the last 5 years. He is survived by his sister and a brother- Albert. Funeral services will be on Saturday afternoon at the Calumet Norwegian church 1902 November 6 Thursday- The remains of Peter PENINGER, who died in Chicago, Illinois on Tuesday, will be given internment in that city. He leaves a widow and five children. 1902 November 7 Friday- Max BEARDIN, aged 28 years, died yesterday afternoon of typhoid fever at the home of Mrs. John CUDLIP of Laurium. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon. 1902 November 7 Friday--Henry MINNES, aged about 40 years old, a miner at Trimountain mine, was killed at the mine on Wednesday evening. He prepared three blasts and the second one exploded prematurely, killing him. He leaves a widow and two children. Working near MINNES was Jalmar INGMAN. He had one foot and one hand badly crushed and will recover. 1902 Nov 8- MARRIAGE LICENSES ISSUED BY HOUGHTON COUNTY CLERK Henry HELKKALA and Marie HANNUS, of Ripley William DRISCOLL and Celia KING, of Calumet MARRIAGE 1902 November 8 Saturday- Edward ROWE, aged 59 years and Mrs. Elizabeth FREETHY, aged 45 years, were married on Friday by Justice Fisher in his court. The groom came here recently to Houghton from Los Angeles, California to marry her. They will live in San Francisco. NEWS ITEM 1902 November 8 Saturday - J. EDWARDS, one of the shift bosses at the Tamarack mine, left Thursday for CORNWALL, ENGLAND, where he will visit two months. NEWS ITEMS 1902 November 8 Saturday- David KENNEDY, who recently resigned his position at the Tamarack store, left Thursday with his family, for Alberta, Canada, where he intends making his home in the future. 1902 November 8 Saturday-- Matthew OATES and his family of the Tamarack location and Mrs. Mark OATES of Kearsearge, have departed for CORNWALL, ENGLAND. They will make their home in CORNWALL in the future, in their former county of birth. DEATHS 1902 November 9 Sunday- William E. FAGG, aged 22 years, clerk of the Trimountain mine, was killed when he jumped from the moving train as it was coming into the station but being so dark he hit a rail and was thrown under the train to his death. He came to Houghton two years ago, first working at the Michigan college of Mines as a stenographer, than going to the Trimountain mine as a clerk. He was single, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter FAGG live in Madison, Wisconsin. He lived in West Houghton at the home of C. C. HEUGNENS. The remains will be shipped to Madison, Wisconsin for burial by the family. 1902 November 9 Sunday- Mrs. Mary CHOPP, wife of John CHOPP, formerly a resident of Greenland, Ontonagon County, Michigan, died at the Lake Linden General hospital yesterday. The body was brought to Calumet and taken to the home of Phillip CHOPP of Newton,. The funeral will be held tomorrow. Burial will be at Lake View cemetery, Calumet. 1902 November 9 Sunday- Joseph BEAUCHAMP, aged 28 years, son of Joseph BEAUCHAMP of Tamarack city died yesterday morning from a complication of diseases. He was somewhat deformed due to a sickness in his youth. He was single. He is survived by his parents, eight brothers and two sisters. The funeral will be held tomorrow from St Cecelia's church, Lake Linden. Burial will be at Mount Calvary cemetery, Lake Linden. NEWS ITEM 1902 November 9 Sunday- Mrs. Cornelius CUDDIHY and son left yesterday for their home in Chicago, Illinois after spending the summer in Lake Linden at Mrs. CUDDIHY's parents home, Mr. and Mrs. William PAULL. 1902 Nov 11- MARRIAGE LICENSE ISSUED BY HOUGHTON COUNTY CLERK Joseph MATHEWS of Laurium and Elizabeth Mary VOGLER, of Calumet DEATH 1902 November 11 Tuesday- Jacob ROHLMAN, aged 38 years, the Dollar Bay merchant who died Sunday night, at his home, was well known in Hancock, having lived there a number of years ago before moving to Dollar Bay. His parents, brothers and sisters live in Dollar Bay now. He leaves a widow and 4 children. The funeral will take place from St Francis church, Dollar Bay, this morning. Burial will be at Forest Hill cemetery, Houghton. MARRIAGE 1902 November 11 Tuesday- At the Church of the Redeemer, Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Peter Duncan MacNAUGHTON of Calumet, Michigan married Miss Ethel Mayo ROSSITER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter King ROSSITER last Wednesday. Miss Helen ROSSITER was the maid of honor and the best man was Dr. J. Wendell CLARK. They will live in Calumet at the Calumet Hotel. NEWS ITEM 1902 November 11 Tuesday- Louis BACHOR who has been employed in the Ed HAAS clothing store for several years, has resigned and expects to leave for Joliet, Illinois ,where he has a good position awaiting him. MARRIAGE 1902 November 12 Wednesday- Samuel O'CONNELL of the Arcadian mine location married Miss Katherine DUNN of the Franklin mine location, yesterday morning at St Patrick's church. They will live at the Franklin location. DEATH 1902 November 12 Wednesday- Mrs. Annie GREGORY, aged 28 years, died yesterday at her Calumet home, after a four month illness. She is survived by a husband and one child. The funeral will be held tomorrow from the Calumet Italian church, St. Mary's. MARRIAGE 1902 November 12 Wednesday- Gustaf HAMINA, of Wolverine location married Miss Kate NIEMI of Red Jacket, at the Finnish Hall at Wolverine, last Saturday night. They will make their home at Kearsearge. DEATH 1902 November 12 Wednesday-Adolph NELSON, a miner in the Adventure mine, was terribly mangled and killed by a blast in the mine, on Thursday evening. He leaves a widow and four small children. the oldest is seven years old. MARRIAGE 1902 November 13 Thursday- Ludwig HERMANN married Miss Mary GREB, daughter of Mrs. William GREB, of Tamarack-Osceola mill location, yesterday afternoon. MARRIAGE 1902 November 16 Sunday – Edwin Hosking married Miss Isabelle Himsley, both of Houghton, at the home of James Hosking in Hancock, last night. DEATHS 1902 November 18 Tuesday- Angelo PATINO, aged 32 years, died Sunday in St Joseph's hospital, Hancock, from injuries he received November 12 in the Quincy mine. He tried to get out of the man car while it was moving and was caught between the car and the (?) 1902 November 18 Tuesday- The remains of the late Charles OLSON who died at Tamarack last week were laid at rest Sunday. Funeral services were held at the Swedish Lutheran church, Calumet and burial at Lake View. NEWS ITEMS 1902 November 18 Tuesday- Samuel POWELL's court case for bigamy will come to trial next Monday. He was born in CORNWALL, ENGLAND and was married there. He is a father of a girl there, 12 years old. Some years ago he went to work in South Africa and stayed there a while. He went back to CORNWALL and then came to America. He is said to have neglected his wife and child in CORNWALL. The other woman he is said to have married is a Mrs. WILLIAMS and he would be her third husband. On November 24 he was sentenced to three years in prison. It was proved they were married in CORNWALL at the County Registrars office. The first Mrs. POWELL's daughter, Mabel, was in court with her. MARRIAGE 1902 November 23 Sunday-- Axel JOHNSON of Calumet married Miss Henrietta NELSON, daughter of Mrs. Swan NELSON of Yellow Jacket, at the bride's parents home at Yellow Jacket, last night. Mr. JOHNSON is a veteran of the Spanish American war. The service was performed by Rev. J. T. OLANDER of the Swedish Lutheran church. They will live in Calumet. DEATH 1902 November 23 Sunday-News of the sudden death of John HANLEY, aged 47 years, a former resident of Calumet, was received by his mother, Mrs. Ellen HANLEY, of 613 Olne Street, Calumet, was received yesterday. He died of pneumonia. He had been living in Sanfa Ana, Mexico at his death. The body will be shipped to Los Angeles, California , where he has a widow and family to survive him. He left Calumet 27 years ago and he was a mining man of wide experience. He also leaves his mother, two sisters-Margaret and Nellie and a brother - Cornelius, to survive him. MARRIAGE 1902 November 25 Tuesday- James JOHNS of Calumet married Miss Martha GLASSON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William GLASSON, a the brides parents home in Calumet, Saturday evening. William JONS of Trimountain was best man and the maid of honor was Miss Nina L. GLASSON . They will live in Calumet. DEATHS 1902 November 26 Wednesday-- The funeral of the late Mrs. Lizette FICHTEL took place at the German Lutheran Church in Calumet. Burial was at Lake View cemetery, Calumet. 1902 November 27 Thursday- Joseph BUTALA, about 35 years old, was a miner from Austria and was killed in a mine accident at the Isle Royale mine on Tuesday afternoon. He was killed by falling from the 12th to the 16th level in Shaft No 3. He leaves a widow and one child in Austria. He will be buried at Lake View cemetery, Calumet. 1902 Nov 27- MARRIAGE LICENSES ISSUED BY HOUGHTON COUNTY CLERK Sam SAMORLE and Rosey MAYON of Kenton Mr Pearla O. MITCHELL and Minnie HARRY of Hancock John ALTALA and Selma KAINNAlNEN of Atlantic mine DEATHS 1902 November 27 Thursday- Mrs. Alex McCURDY, of West Houghton, died in Duluth, Minnesota Saturday night. She had been in poor health the last 9 months and hoped the change would help her. She was visiting her daughter in Duluth. The strain of the trip was too much and she died of pneumonia a few moments later reaching her daughter. She was buried in Duluth. 1902 November 27 Thursday—Mrs. Johanna JOHNSON, aged 39 years, died at her Dollar Bay home Tuesday of Bright's disease. She had been ill 7 months. She leaves three children, ages 16, 11 and 7 years, who are practically orphans. Their father is a patient at the Newberry Michigan State Mental hospital. The funeral was from the Dollar Bay Swedish Lutheran church. MARRIAGE 1902 November 27 Thursday- John ANDERSON and Mary PETERI, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony PETERI of Allouez, at the brides parents home on Friday night. They live at her parents home and the mill boys of Allouez decided to do mischief because they weren't invited to the wedding party. They were so bad that the police had to be called a couple of times as they destroyed part of the PETERI's home. The police will issue warrants for the arrest of the boys if they do it again. NEWS ITEM 1902 November 27 Thursday- The ONE and ALL LODGE of the SONS of ST. GEORGE, of Calumet elected new officers for the coming year-- John CHAPMAN; William SNELL; James BERRYMAN; John NEKERVIS; William McDONALD; Fred MARTIN; William GLASSON; John H. LUCAS and Dr. J. C. ABRAMS. All were born in CORNWALL, ENGLAND. DEATH 1902 November 27 Thursday- Patrick POPE, aged 63 years, died in his Lake Linden home, from a stomach problem he had over 30 years. He came to Keweenaw County in 1869 and worked at the Cliff, Central and Phoenix mines in that county before coming to Lake Linden. He came to Lake Linden 19 years ago working for the Calumet and Hecla Stamp mill. He is survived by a widow and six sons-James, William, Thomas ; John ; Henry and George; and five daughters- Mrs. Thomas MUNN of Hancock; Mrs. Jacob SLONAKER ; Miss Ann and Miss Alice of Lake Linden; All the sons reside in Lake Linden. The funeral will be from the Holy Rosary church on Friday and burial will be at Mount Calvary cemetery, Lake Linden. MARRIAGES 1902 November 27 Thursday- Frank PAQUETTE married Miss Amanda BOUDREAU, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis BOUDREAU of Lake Linden, at St Joseph's church, Lake Linden yesterday. Delore LaFRENLERE was best man and the bride's sister(no name shown) was bridesmaid. 1902 November28 Friday- Mr. Pearl MITCHELL married Minnie HARRY of Hancock, at the Hancock home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Absalom HARRY. DEATHS 1902 November28 Friday-- Felix SILMINSKI, aged 28 years, died at his home in Calumet as a result of injuries from a mine accident two years ago, from which he never recovered. He is survived by a widow and several children. 1902 November 28 Friday- Peter WARYNANEN, born in Finland, was killed at the Atlantic mine yesterday by being crushed to death. He has not been in this country long and the mine officials, when asked, did not if was married or not. MARRIAGE 1902 November 29 Saturday- Roy D. GOLDSWORTHY married Miss Adele Henrietta OBENHOFF, at the home of the bride's parents in Houghton Wednesday night. The bridesmaid was Marion GOLDSWORTHY and the best man was Howard H. OBENHOFF, brother of the bride. They will live in Houghton. 1902 Nov 28- MARRIAGE LICENSES ISSUED BY HOUGHTON COUNTY CLERK Emil JAANEIS and Amalia RAJANEN of the Atlantic mine Isaac N. LUNGIE, of Calumet 1902 Nov 29- John Jakop HEINIKOSKI and Mary HAPOLA of Quincy township 1902 Nov 30- Matt JOHNSON and Annie KUULA, of Calumet DEATHS 1902 December 2- Tuesday-Mrs. Betsie JACKMAN, aged 80 years, died the home of her son, Edward JACKMAN, in his Calumet home last Sunday. of old age. She was one of the pioneer residents of the area. She lived at Osceola mine for a number of years and came to Calumet till a few weeks ago when she went to live with her son. She leaves an aged husband, 2 sons and 2 daughters, Mrs. Anne OPIE of Boston mine; Mrs. William PAGE of Franklin mine. John is in British Columbia. The funeral will be this afternoon at the Calumet Methodist church. Burial will be at Lake View cemetery, Calumet. DEATH 1902 December 2 Tuesday- See above death on page 16 at bottom of page. Another person died in the same house, the same day, Thomas McGUIRE, aged 62 years, died in Edward JACKMAN's home in Hancock. He died of typhoid pneumonia. He had been in partnership with Malcolm McLEOD in the livery business in Calumet. His brother lives in Marinette, Wisconsin and the remains are being shipped there for burial. MARRIAGE 1902 December 2 Tuesday- Isaac N. POLVI married Miss Annie B. LUNG? last Saturday, at the home of the bride's parents in Hecla. NEWS ITEMS 1902 December 2 Tuesday- John BENNETTS of the Wolverine mine, will leave for CORNWALL, ENGLAND tomorrow and after visiting his old country for a time, he will go to South Africa to work. 1902 December 2 Tuesday- Gilbert TRUDELL of Calumet left last night for Belt, Montana to make his future home. His wife and family are living there now. MARRIAGE 1902 December 2 Tuesday- Elmer OLTO of Baraga, Baraga county married Miss Henrietta ROGERS of Dollar Bay last night at the Trinity church rectory, Houghton . They left last night for Ashland, Wisconsin, where they will make their home. DEATHS 1902 December 3 Wednesday- John DWYER, one of the pioneers of Hancock, died at his home in West Hancock yesterday. He had lived in Hancock for 30 years. He saw it grow from a mere hamlet to a prosperous modern town, of 10,000 people. He leaves a widow and a son and daughter. M. J. DWYER, and Mrs. Michael DRISOLL of South Lake Linden. Michael DWYER is a brother. Services will be at St Patrick's church, Hancock. Friday. MARRIAGES 1902 December 3 Wednesday- Thomas FAZZIE, aged 53 years, of Greenland, Ontonagon county, died yesterday at his Greenland home of heart failure. He had been a resident of Greenland the last 30 years, He leaves a widow. 1902 December 3 Wednesday- William SEIGHMAN married Miss Cora BROWN, daughter of Mrs. John BROWN, at the home of the bride's mother in Hecla last Saturday evening. The couple will live with Mrs. John BROWN. 902 December 4 Thursday- Charles Edwin WEBB married Miss Daisy Edna HENWOOD at noon yesterday, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin HENWOOD, of the Quincy Addition.. Miss Clara LIGHT, a cousin of the bride, was the bridesmaid and the best man was Claude H. SAWYER of Hancock. They will live in the Quincy Addition. NEWS ITEMS 1902 December 4 Thursday- At the last regular meeting of the MISTLETO LODGE of the SONS of ST GEORGE in Hancock the following officers were elected- Charles ROBERTS; Will HOSKING; Sidney WILLS; Hadley WILLS; William John JOSE; and George MARTIN. All were born in CORNWALL, ENGLAND. 1903 December 4 Thursday- John H. PETERS, left yesterday for Wellington, Ontario, Canada, where he will make his home. Mrs. PETERS and family are all ready in Wellington. DEATH 1902 December 4- The funeral of Frank McGINNIS, the lad who accidentally fell into a coal breaker Sunday night, took place yesterday at the Eagle Harbor cemetery.. Services were held at the Phoenix location. NEWS ITEM 1902 December 4 Thursday- The Houghton, DUKE OF WELLINGTON, SONS of ST GEORGE lodge elected off jeers - John BISCOMBE; James RODDA; George SLOCKETT; John SLOCKETT; John PETERS; all were born in CORNWALL, ENGLAND. DEATH 1902 December 5 Friday- A man named John DALY died at Trimountain yesterday. He was without friends or relatives and little is known about him. MARRIAGE 1902 December 5 Friday-- Antonio Prudenthio ENTENZA married Miss Ella Aqgbes? DYMOCK of Hancock, at the home of the bride's parents in Hancock last evening. Daisy DYMOCK was the bridesmaid and the best man was Homer A. GUCK. They will live in Hancock. DEATH 1902 December 5 Friday- John MORCOM, aged 41 years, and well known in Calumnet, died yesterday at his home in Centennial Heights of diabetes which he had been fighting for over a year. He leaves a wife and five children. He was born in CORNWALL, ENGLAND, the son of Richard MORCOM and Elizabeth MORCOM. He came to the copper country in 1888 and worked first at the Tamarack Junior mine. On April 27 1890 there was a fire at the Tamarack mine. MORCOM volunteered to go into the mine to save men trapped there. All the volunteers were presented engraved gold watches, including MORCOM, by Captain John DANIEL of the mine. The funeral will take place next Sunday from the Calumet Methodist church. Burial will be at Lake View Cemetery, Calumet. 1902 December 6 Saturday-Ben VIAL, of the firm of HOSKING and VIAL, has received news of the death of his brother, William VIAL, in Johannesburg, South Africa. William had been ill seven weeks in the Transavall before he died. He was 27 years old and had gone to Africa from his home in CORNWALL, ENGLAND, where he left a mother and a sister. 1902 December 6 Saturday- Mrs. Annie BESSONEN, aged 23 years of Pewabic location, died yesterday afternoon of consumption. She is survived by a husband and one child. The funeral will be Monday afternoon from the Finnish church on Pine Street, Calumet. MARRIAGE 1902 December 6 Saturday- Joseph James TAMBLYN married Miss Bessie POLGLASE, both of the Atlantic mine location, Thursday evening at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William POLGLASE, of the Atlantic mine. Miss Mary Jane POLGLASE, sister of the groom and Miss Maria TAMBLYN, were the bridesmaids. Benjamin TAMBLYN, brother of the groom, was best man. They will live at the Atlantic mine. DEATH 1902 December 7 Sunday- Swan Eric ANDERSON, aged 62 years and one of the oldest residents of Lake Linden, died yesterday after an illness of two months. He came to Lake Linden when the downtown was all forest. He was a carpenter for the Calumet and Hecla company for a long time. He was retired for the past several years. He is survived by an aged widow, four sons and two daughters. ALLAN, aged 62 years, of Calumet, died suddenly of a heart attack in the mine in shaft No 11 of the Hecla branch of the Calumet and Hecla Mine last evening. He was a watchman and was found dead in the shaft house by the miners. He leaves a widow and five children.- John M. He was killed while boarding the cage and it moved before he was on it, being crushed. He was born in Simo, Finland, His nearest relative is a sister in Fulton, Michigan. The funeral will be tomorrow afternoon from the Finnish church on 8th street, Calumet. 1902 December 13 Saturday--John DANIELS, aged 22 years, died yesterday afternoon at the Quincy mine. He was a victim of an unexpected blast in the mine. His brother, Samuel was injured so severely he lies at the point of death. They were born in CORNWALL, ENGLAND, the sons of Richard DANIELS and the mother is unknown. They were both single with no relatives in America. The following days Hancock section of the paper was missing. She died of heart disease and pneumonia. She had been a resident of Lake Linden the last 15 years. Her husband died 12 years ago. She is survived by two daughters and one son, who is 12 years old, and the youngest. Services will be held at St Joseph's church, Lake Linden and burial at Mount Calvary cemetery, Lake Linden. 1902 December 18 Thursday- Peter TUMALA, a fisherman from Portage entry, was killed by a train as his horse and buggy was on the tracks driving towards the train near Houghton. He was known to be a heavy drinker. He had been a fisherman at the Entry a good many years. He leaves a wife and five children. The funeral will be held Sunday. NEWS ITEM 1902 December 20 Saturday- A cablegram was received by Mrs. Samuel TREGROVE of Lake Linden, from her husband, stating that his contract is over as Superintendant of a mine in West Africa and he will not renew it even at a higher salary. The weather is the main reason. He will go to CORNWALL, ENGLAND for a visit to his old birthplace and will come back to the copper country in a few months. DEATH 1902 December21 Sunday- Mrs. Carolina ANDERSON , aged 81 years, died yesterday morning, just two weeks after the death of her husband.
